Biography:

Pauline de Snoo studied concertina at the Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg, Netherlands under the experienced concertinist Douglas Rogers (England) who was instrumental in reviving the classical repertoire of the concertina.
This 4 year course, full-time, was completed with a teaching degree (BA) in May 2004.
In December 2005 she completed her M Mus (Specializing in Performance and Applied Dalcroze Eurythmics) at Newcastle University, UK, having studied with Alistair Anderson, Alan Fearon and Richard Wistreich. This was a unique event since there are no examples from the past and even now there are no other students anywhere taking these degrees in classical music on concertina. Hopefully this is the start of a new tradition.
Pauline is tutor at workshops in Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands. She is author of Concertina methods, composes music and gives recitals.
Since 2007 she is editor of "Concertina World", magazine of the International Concertina Association.
She is specialized in Movement and Music for which she has participated in several summer courses in the UK and Switzerland. She lectures on dynamic rehearsal and performance and teaches music theory and solfege besides Concertina.
